One Week Later

Alarm set for 7:30 am — just in case.  (Need plenty of time to open Christmas gifts before heading to church.)  But, of course, I didn’t need said alarm. Barely.  Peamite Alpha discovers his gifts at 7:15 am Christmas morning.  (From what I hear, this was a blessing since a lot of children woke up waaay earlier)

Peamite Bravo found herself in our bed sometime in the night.  (She must of had Mama on the brain, because she walked right past the pile of gifts en route to our bedroom.)  I hear Carter with his presents, so I jump out of bed so I don’t miss a moment with my camera.  Peamite Bravo wails that I got up, follows me into the living room, and discovers why I left.  Whining abruptly stopped as she notices all her new gifts.

I take picture after picture of their happy faces with each new discovery.  Can you believe this big box containing one of Katie’s favorite princesses is the last thing she notices?

One Week Later:

All the pieces are still around and Katie loves to dress up like her doll.  She goes around the house singing, “I am a pwiiincessss!”

Carter got a Captain America shield that shoots discs!  He runs around pretending he’s Captain America pewing the bad guys.

One Week Later:

The shield no longer shoots discs.  In fact, it stopped working before we even made it out of the door to church that morning.  I knew to expect that from reviews that I read.  David and I agreed it was still a really cool shield even if it didn’t shoot.  Carter agrees and wasn’t deterred at all.

Katie received “make up” in her stocking!  Hello Kitty lip balm to be exact.  She was so excited and immediately put some on.  She insisted on taking it with her when we went to eat lunch with my brother.  Two lip balms came in the package, and she insisted both go.

One Week Later:

Both lip balms are missing at my brother’s house.  However, I did receive word today that one of the balms had been located.  Return pending.

It is quite a chore to keep up with everything without having to keep up with their toys, too.  Carter’s gotten a little better about it, and hopefully Katie will soon!  Until they move out, I’ll hear, “Where’s my…?”
